  • What do you consider the single most important event in your life?

    Perhaps...

    • Day of birth, definate possibility
    • Day I got my drivers license, definately maybe
    • First day I wore my letter jacket to high school, its up there
    • Graduation night, getting closer
    • Day Jordan and I told each other we loved one another for the first time, high probability
    • Day I started my pastorship at Grace Fellowship, strong recommendation
    • This afternoon when I fell in love with butterscotch pudding again

    Eureka! I've got it.

Tuesday April 11th, 2001 at Eastside Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri when God saw me in my sin and pulled me out of death and into life. The night I was confronted with the question, "If you were to die tonight where would you spend eternity? Heaven or Hell?" I came to the realization that I didn't know for sure, and wanted it to be set in stone about my future. I made the decision to make Christ my Lord and Savior, turn away from my sin and my worldly lifestyle, and sell out to God. I walked away from a lifestyle of porn, suicidal tendencies, depression, foul language, bigotry, and hatred into a life of love and fulfillment.

Looking back over 7 years ago that has been the single greatest day of my life and will forever be. I will be married some day, I will have children, I will watch the Royals, Chiefs, Wizards, and Trail Blazers win their prospective champtionships all in the same year, but knowing that my name is written in the book of life is better than anything else that may or will happen.

    Captured by grace, Phill
