The many faces of Jesus
I'm sure all of us have seen that lovely picture of Jesus as he is praying in the Garden with knees bent and hands folded like a good little sunday school kid. He has blonde hair flowing like Fabio, blue eyes as cold as steel, and peach toned skin. Knowing that Jesus was from Jerusalem and not Scandinavia inspired me to see what other cultures have depicted Jesus as looking like. So view all 40 or so of them, enjoy, and comment what you think and which one is your favorite. All pictures are courtesy of Jesus own Myspace page.

It's fascinating to see how other cultures have interpreted Jesus. My favorites are the Asian Jesus', just because I have never seen those before. Great post, I'm sure it took a lot of work to put together!
@GreekPhysique@xanga - thanks man, yeah the Asian Jesus is a real oddity it seems.
@GreekPhysique@xanga - I like the Asian Jesus' too :)
And yeah, Phill... so many pictures!
@D2L_Pastor - Why odd?
@FreeeVerse@xanga - odditty in its obscurity
@FreeeVerse@xanga - too many pics? lol
@D2L_Pastor - Oh... Yeah, it's definitely obscure. No, not too many pics :)
Very nice post =] It's interesting to see how other culture portray Jesus. I like the South Park one the best xD Just kidding. I really liked seeing all the movie stills of actors as Jesus
@mandabanana17@xanga - jesus and pals, lol
That's pretty cool. I agree that the Asian Jesus' are the coolest. you really never even hear people talking about an Asian Jesus, at least around here. Cool beans, man.
@ThatSady_MittGurl@xanga - thanks, glad you enjoyed
my favorite's the one where he's giving the child a piggy-back ride. because not only was he God's Son, he was human as well.
Bridegroom and I AM are my favorites. That's just how I picture Him. Almighty brought tears to my eyes. Finally, Advocate is in a frame on my Mom's dresser. She has had that framed picture of Jesus since I was a little girl and I'm 47 now! That's probably one of the most popular pictures of Jesus ever. Isn't it interesting though how we all form our own opinion of how He looks according to how He has touched our lives?
Dude, Jesus knew karate?
@ThepersonwithoutC@xanga - yes, lol, and riverdance
your post is very interesting. My mom has a picture of the advocate in her house. It has hung in every house we lived in when we were growing up. She still has that picture hanging and she also has a big picture of the last supper in her dining room.
The Eastern Jesus's are very interesting. Where did you get these?
@WinsomeONE@xanga - On Myspace, someone gave Jesus his own account, and under his pictures I found all these different depictions of him.
